The beginning of the video introduces every band member which is a nice idea but i don't think our group is going to do this. We're going to introduce ourselves, not by name, but as a band all together.
The band use several effect throughout there video, like this split screen of two members playing their instruments, which is a good way of displaying two bits of film at once. It displays what's going on in different parts of the rooms, without it al being filmed by one camera.
The lyrics in the song read "I'll put my hands over your eyes, but you'll peek through" This is a good illustration of the lyrics. Which our band is going to similarly do. The video is very quirky and enjoyable and we are going to make ours just as fun. This is also a useful way to use a close up shot
Noah and the Whale have used text to emphasize what the lyrics are saying, instead of illustrating it, which they are in a way, by doing what is fun to them. I think using text would help explain a point and is a useful and another visual effect to add when editing our film.
This is a shot of the whole band together, playing their instruments, enjoying the moments. Like we will do in our band, all an instrument that matches up with the actual instruments used the song. This is a long shot because it shows the whole bands bodies and shows the viewer of the video that they are Noah and the Whale.
The video filming is a bit shaky throughout, which has we done for effect, to maybe show the film is old, or folk like, which the band are trying to project. However, this is a different and special effect.
