Have my research skills developed more..?

Thing is, I enjoy watching music videos, where as with the thriller project my eyes were hid behind my hands for some of the research,
 I like most music and music is a big part of my life so although I feel like my research and ideas are starting and way better than last year I have to consider that maybe I am not really better at it (I mean I haven't learnt new research skills over summer...) but I am way more enthusiastic this year :)! 


This year I have already gone out and about for locations (I will post this later) where as last year I was far more than three weeks in to the film process before I really knew what our film was going to be like. I feel like theres so much more scope for doing great stuff this year. 


Also I am already watching a couple of tutorials on final cut pro on youtube, but I am pretty sure we may have new software to use, hopefully it will be similar so I won't have been wasting my time and confuse myself when we learn how to use the new stuff, 

This here is a screen shot of a really useful FCP tutorial on speeding up and slowing down video, which while looking at music videos seems to be a really common trait of them, just gotta remember that the miming along will be sped up/ slowed down along with the video otherwise it could ALL go wrong...

To summarise any improvements in my research skills I just feel like I have so much more enthusiasm and so many more ideas and theres so much more we can do for this project that I am doing a lot of independent research which is the main difference from this year to last... For me atleast.
