Possible Music Videos

One possibility for our music video was Baba Oriley by the Who, while our group liked the sound track and there were specific beats that we cut make match cuts and jump cuts for our performance. When we looked at the lyrics  there wasnt a clear narrative. And  we cam to the conclusion that we couldnt make a performance that wouldnt go to the narrative of the song.

When we listened to this song we liked the song as it had a happy uplifting mood to it, clear narrative and there was a music video to it so we had an idea of what to do in terms of performance and narrative. Also we had alot of ideas costume wise, location and narrative. So it was a strong candidate due to our enthusiasm towards the song. Also the fact that there was a male singer and female singer help us out, due to the fact Im the only boy in the group.

Whilst we all liked this song, and like Noah and the Whale, the song had a clear narrative we could work around. The fact that there was a male singer and male backing singers made it difficult for us, as our group is dominated by girls, so whilst we liked this song and had ideas for locations, costume and performance, our teacher advised against it, as we didnt have all the instruments that the band played, aswell as the fact that we only had me in the group who was male.
