Through examining Noah and the Whale's website...

I discover the band has made quite a few changes since the release of the single we are making the music video to (released on album in 2008) the group seem to be going for a more chic appearance compared to their sweet folkish selves when they were working on 'Five Years Time', However on their website which is quite bland, a cream layout and various undistinguishable photographs of the band member's doing their thing on stage..

They do seem to do a great job of promoting this new image however, keeping to their original arty selves at least, there is a blog on their website, which promotes their music by posting it, ideas, and videos! (kinda like what we're doing?!?) They're also posting stuff about where they're performing live and making it sound as exciting as possible, because it seems like the band are actually talking to those reading, and in blog format it appears a little more personal, it hooks the fan in and creates yet another feeling of relating to the group for the fan. The blog is also a really sneaky way to promote their new material while sounding like they're just casually talking about what they've been getting up to.

I clicked on a link called Cinema and was really impressed with the funky but simple way that they're promoting their live tours and recording sessions in a unique and unusual way, Anyway this is the link to it and I thought this was an awesome way to generate excitement from fans but also to represent the group as being a little bit out there and different, without having to go to Lady Gaga style lengths to show people...
Noah and the Whale's 'Cinema' video viewer!
Kinda difficult to see but really awesome way to show your music videos to your fans ! :)
